The Browns’ baby joy! Kody and Robyn Brown of TLC’s Sister Wives are expecting their second child together, a rep for the couple confirmed to Us Weekly on Friday, June 19. Their new baby will be Kody‘s 18th child, and Robyn’s fifth. “We are so happy to announce an eagerly expected new member of the Brown family!” they told Us in a statement.
Kody, 46, and Robyn, 36, are part of the controversial reality TV polygamist family that includes “sister wives” Meri, Christine, and Janelle, and their children with Brown and from previous relationships. The family’s kids range in age from 4 to 19.
The family’s pregnancy comes four months after they revealed that Meri (Kody’s spouse of 24 years) chose to divorce her husband. Kody later formally married Robyn, the youngest of his four wives, who joined the family in 2010, and gave birth to her and Kody’s son, Solomon, in October 2011.

As Brown explained in a post on the family’s website, their much-buzzed plural marriage makes him a better man, husband, and father.
“We have chosen to live in a plural family for many reasons, above all we have a testimony that this is what God wants us to do, and that it will make us better people,” Brown wrote. “We value family above all else.”
